These are Sufi mystical prayers of peace and protection that Palestinian-Saudi artist Rotana Tarabzouni generously recorded for this ritual.

The first is an opening prayer from the Qur’an, which invites us to set our intentions for this practice.

The second is a prayer of protection, which invites us to imagine all the people and beings of Gaza protected by a white light.

And the third is a blessing of divine peace

that transcends human suffering.
